Mr. Walla Walla (2nd Runner-up) 2015

In April of 2015 the Walla Walla Dance Festival held a charitable male "tongue & cheek" beauty pageant to name a Mr. Walla Walla. There were 9 contestants in the competition that showcased formal wear, athletic wear, talent, and an interview with a panel of judges. Some of the talent included the likes of steer roping a with a stationary steer, ribbon dancing, dancing, and our very own Wingman did a dance routine to the song "All About That Bass" by Meghan Trainor. The stoic expression, paired with the unusual clothing combination and choreography made Brendon Mendoza a sensation of the evening and the year. Brendon won title of Second Runner-up (third place) and it is celebrated at the restaurant in order to tell guests that he does take his business seriously but not himself. You can find a still photo of the dance in the vestibule of the restaurant upon arrival. The event was to help raise money to bring dance into schools.
